How it works
The EPUB to PDF converter transforms eBook files (.epub) into PDF documents โ preserving chapter structure, text formatting, embedded images, and metadata. Use it when you need a PDF version of an eBook for printing, sharing with PDF-only systems, or reading in a PDF viewer rather than a dedicated eBook reader.
EPUB is the standard open eBook format used by publishers, libraries, and distribution platforms. It is not directly viewable in most PDF readers, web browsers, or email clients without a plugin. Converting to PDF produces a file that opens everywhere.
How to use it: upload an .epub file. The tool parses the EPUB container, extracts chapters in order, and renders each chapter as PDF pages. The table of contents (NCX/Nav) is converted to PDF bookmarks. Download the resulting PDF.
Formatting: EPUB text, headings, block quotes, lists, bold, and italic are converted to PDF with matching typography. Inline images are embedded. Custom CSS from the EPUB is applied to the best extent possible given PDF rendering constraints.
DRM: EPUB files protected with Adobe DRM or Apple DRM cannot be converted by this tool โ these protections prevent file reading by any software other than authorized DRM-licensed applications.
Multi-format eBooks: some eBook files are packaged as .epub but internally use HTML with minimal styling โ these convert cleanly. Complex EPUB3 files with embedded JavaScript interactivity (iBooks widgets, interactive textbooks) do not transfer to static PDF.
Privacy: EPUB parsing and PDF rendering run in the browser. Your eBook content is never uploaded.

- Yes. The EPUB's NCX or Navigation Document (nav.xhtml) is converted to PDF bookmarks. Each chapter entry in the TOC becomes a named destination in the PDF that appears in the Bookmarks sidebar of PDF viewers.
- No. DRM (Digital Rights Management) protection prevents the file from being read by any software other than authorized readers. This tool cannot decrypt DRM-protected EPUBs.
- Images embedded in the EPUB (stored in the EPUB container's images/ folder) are extracted and embedded in the PDF. Images referenced via external URLs are fetched by your browser during conversion.
- No โ only .epub format is supported. Kindle formats (.mobi, .azw, .azw3) use a proprietary Amazon format. You can convert Kindle files to EPUB using Calibre (free desktop software), then use the EPUB here.
